Roy thought he’d be ready for anything he’d find, but nothing had prepared him for what he actually saw.
Jamie was trapped between two men. His body had been bent over the sink without any kind of courtesy and the guy at his back had him completely pinned. His arms were wrenched at his back, where a firm grip was holding him in place. And the guy, the guy was about to... God, Roy was gonna be sick.
“Get the fuck away from him!”
Or: in which Jamie is sexually assaulted at a pub, Roy finds the abusers in the act and, along with Isaac, stops them right in time. But, between the pain and confussion, the spiral he's just going through and the memories from a time he'd rather forget, Jamie can't separate the angry man who just saved him from the one who'd once put him there. Roy has to deal with the fact that Jamie can't stand his presence and with the shame that being compared to James Tartt Sr. brings to his heart.

“Whatever toxin that was was tougher,” Sam muttered, shaking his head. “He stopped breathing, Torres.”
While on a mission, Bucky takes a hit, and doesn't get back up. Sam helps him recover. (Or: shameless Bucky Barnes whump that I did way too much research into airborne poisoning and recovery for.)

They're not for him. He doesn't have to obey. He's Bucky, not the Soldier, the Winter Soldier is dead. The Winter Soldier doesn't exist anymore, they got rid of him in Wakanda. But his eyes glaze over and he's not entirely sure if it's tears, panic, or the programming. He's screaming somewhere, he can hear it, but his throat doesn't hurt. It's him but not him, that young version of him who's still going through it and believes he can survive in one piece. Who's persuading himself that someone will save him.
