Baelor's hand remained on his shoulder. Duncan burned under his touch. He prayed to any Gods that would listen that he wouldn't have to live a moment without it.
He stared at Baelor wide eyed, his heart racing in his chest with a beat so loud he was sure that Baelor could hear it too. There was a chance he was a fool too hopeful for his own good. It was not fear of execution that kept his will intact- he was to die anyway, rather it was a fear of betraying the kindness of a man as noble as Baelor.
Duncan licked his lips and watched as Baelor's darted downwards with the motion. "Was there any other reason as to why you've come here tonight, Baelor?"
