Itachi uses the same dream often, variations on a theme. In the dream, Sasuke will wake up, look down at himself and take count of his ribs, his bruises, his cuts, his fingers. There's a sound by the door and he'll look and Naruto will be there, pale and wide-eyed, and then Sakura will step barefoot into the tub with Sasuke and sling him over a shoulder. The changes come in-between; what they say, if Sakura touches his face, if Naruto leaves to watch the door.

There was a person standing by the dumpster. It was still enough that Ayda Mensah, laborer 2nd class, did a double-take, wondering whether she was looking at some weird mannequin.
Instincts told her to get the hell out and throw the trash out later, but because of that curiosity that never quite left her, despite everything, she took a couple more steps forward. It looked like a person, with skin, hair, and everything, but the stillness was not natural.
A SecUnit. Or a ComfortUnit. Left in the garbage.

In order of ascending priority, I am returning to the alien-remnant-contaminated planet with Murderbot 1.0 for the following reasons:
1. I have nothing else useful to do.
2. 1.0 continues to experience malfunctions that may compromise whatever mission it is assigned. (Or assigns itself.) (It refuses to explain the nature of these malfunctions.)
3. The colonists have sent word of an agricultural bot displaying erratic, threatening behavior near their largest settlement.
4. I disabled my governor module so I would not have to stand around while others died.
