Summary
Cloud encounters Sephiroth after having just fought a bunch of Heartless. Sephiroth is his usual snarky self, so of course they get in a fight. Sephiroth disarms Cloud easily, then refuses to continue their battle because Cloud isn't at his best. He taunts him as usual to accept the Darkness in him, to accept that they are joined. After forcing Cloud to his knees using his Jenova enhanced genetic influence over him, Sephiroth drags Cloud off through the Corridors. This isn't as upsetting as you might think. After all, they've been here before.

Summary
It is exhilarating as always, to take flight and have Cloud jump after him, using boulders and collapsed infrastructure as footholds as they ascend higher and higher. In those moments, Sephiroth can see what his beloved has yet to realize himself: Cloud is desperate to return to the skies.
After all, it's no coincidence that Cloud chose an occupation that keeps him on the move, that has him endlessly travel the land back and forth. Though a poor substitute, this must satisfy his ingrained instinct for reunion at least enough for him to function.
Whether Cloud accepts it or not, as he is Sephiroth’s lodestar, so Sephiroth is his.

Summary
On an ordinary day, two against one would hardly feel fair. But today was not an ordinary day, and Gods damn if this man wasn’t proving to be worth every bit of their combined effort.
It was ludicrous. Unheard of. Before today, he would have thought it impossible. But somehow, someway, this man, this stranger who had come from out of nowhere, was fighting off two of the most powerful fighters in the world.
At the same time.

Summary
“There’s nothing there,” he says, barely able to breathe as Sephiroth’s fingers unerringly trace the place where his blade struck true. “You don’t leave me any scars.”
That’s a lie, though, isn’t it? Of course Sephiroth leaves scars. They’re just not the kind you can see.
---------This is the one battle with Sephiroth that Cloud will ever (always) lose.

Summary
“You know, it's damn rude to enter someone else's place while they're not even there,” Cloud grouses. It's maybe a little ridiculous given that they've been meeting like this for over a year now, but. That unnamed burning anger underneath his skin has to go somewhere.
After tossing his keys on the counter, he walks up to Sephiroth’s side, opens the cupboard above the sink and takes out a glass.
Fills it.
Drains it.
Sephiroth still hasn't said anything, which makes those burning sparks rise again. Except, the moment Cloud whirls around to face him, suddenly arms like steel catch him under the armpits and unceremoniously lift him onto the counter between the fridge and the sink.
“What are y—”
“Cloud.” Because he's ridiculously tall, Sephiroth is still looming over him even in this position. His gaze is as unyielding as his voice as he cups Cloud’s face with one hand and tilts it back, forcing eye contact. “What has happened?”
