The end of Dunk's watch can't come soon enough.
It's a wet autumn night, and the cold and damp would be uncomfortable even if Dunk weren't slightly too big to fit himself under the alcove meant to provide cover on this corner of the Red Keep. As it is, the cold drizzle has soaked in all down his front, seeping into every layer until he's shivering in his boots.
It's no worse than he's felt before — and before it was always out in worse weather, in worse clothes, without the promise of a warm, dry bed in at the end of the night. Still, he can't say he likes it overmuch.
To pass the time, he thinks of Baelor.
