    TK is sick of watching his husband spiral into his obsession with his dad's case, and he's terrified of Carlos going down the same dangerous path of grieving that he did. He attempts to confront him, but what was supposed to be a constructive conversation turns into a vicious argument that jeopardises their marriage and causes TK to make some confessions and confront trauma he'd been trying to bury.

    Also, it's technically being released after, but this was written before 5x05 aired. And it was partially inspired by the promo/released scenes for 5x05, so while I wouldn't call it a spec fic, it's also not not a spec fic.

This couldn't be real. How could it be without his mom?
