And, um, collect taxes.” He points at the plate. “One loaf of bread should cover it, for now.”

    The boy laughs: a startled sort of sound, like he wasn’t expecting something so loud to come from his own body.

    “You’re not a prince,” he says, and Usopp’s face flames, “but I’ll give you the bread.”
