Can't figure out what I want to say about this. It was excellent. Could read a dozen more fics exploring what happens next in both universes. So, so, happy to be introduced to the concept of the Arkham Prince, but it was brought to life so thoroughly by holding it up side-by-side with our Batman. And the levels of intimacy? Brilliant.

The first story if frikken great, and even though it's from 2022 I seriously hope there is a sequel with B and and boys rolling up on Nanda Parbat to get Tim's spleen back. Oh man, and if it happened to become a little show-and-tell from 4 of the 5 about their top 3 most ridiculous moments with the LoA... Well. I wouldn't be disappointed!

Bookmarker's Notes
Very few batfam fics have left me feeling this whole after reading. Like, the fluffy ones are always lovely, and there are plenty that do hurt/comfort really well. But often the healing and comfort in the conclusion is held back a little to show things don't just magically get better. However, that is usually because they are still refusing to tackle a conversation head on, and it's just some apologies and kind gestures that are supposed to act as baby steps but then don't really feel like anyone learned anything or healed in a way that won't be repeated in six months.
In this story, the 'big conversation' in the end didn't reduce itself so that the healing could be measured out in small doses, and small gestures and unspoken feelings weren't relied on to avoid speaking the necessary words. They cleared the air the way I think everyone hopes will happen when a fight begins: They laid out their hurts, but they listened and accepted, so that when the other perspective was offered, it was taken with grace and more understanding. Both sides were valid AND wrong, and they talked it out like real adults and got there in the end! Just felt really, really good to read.
The rest of the story was good too, but that was my fave, lol.
