Summary
It's Sonic's birthday, a time of uncertainty for Tails. There are so many factors to consider, so many things that have to be left unsaid. Tails has a plan to add a bit of extra brightness to Sonic's day but he has to be super careful; one little slip might ruin everything. He has to avoid that at all costs. Sonic deserves the world but Tails can't give that to him.
So maybe this would have to do.

After a subjective eternity and an objective second, she felt a familiar weight press against her senses.
"Oh, you want—" she quieted herself, but Metal didn't look bothered at her attempt at conversation. She didn't want to push her luck though, so she simply gave it a nod and allowed the connection between them to establish.
Despite all the time that had passed, its presence at the edge of her consciousness still felt just as she'd remembered.
One day, Metal disappears. When Eggman fails to contact Belle to search for it again, she resigns herself to having lost another family member—no matter that they weren't close to begin with. Months later, she runs into her estranged sibling again. This time, their interaction lasts longer than just a few moments, even as old baggage still weighs them down.

Summary
The nightly transformations were certainly taking some getting used to, but Sonic persevered with his ever-present determination and relentless optimism as he focused on stitching their broken world back together. Of course, it wouldn't be quite so easy without the support from his friends. His world couldn't be entirely broken as long as he had them by his side. Likewise, Tails is adjusting to using more of his tech in the field, still trying his best to keep up with Sonic, and keep him safe as the dark energy Eggman unlocked threatens all they hold dear.

Summary
Eggman has managed to trap Sonic, and sends him into the timestream to get rid of him once and for all. Luckily, Sonic gets rescued by… Silver?! Together the two hedgehogs try to find a way to get Sonic back to the past… but that is not as easy as it seems, and the fact Sonic and Silver’s past two adventures haven’t left them exactly friends doesn’t help matters either. But Sonic wouldn’t be Sonic if he didn’t tackle this problem with a smile and compassion galore, both of which enthral Silver more than the psychic realises. How might their relationship develop further? And what will happen once Sonic is able to go back to his own era again?
