    I am an absolute fan-nerd. This is fan-nerd behavior at its peak. You are under no obligation to read or respond. This is my only post on Ao3. I am usually just a READER. But I couldn't stop myself. And my discord told me I had to do it (LOL).

    I will outline my claim that Felice is the true growth Queen of YR in three parts (to align with the three seasons of the show) from two POV's 1. Audience and 2.Felice and provide a short summary of her GROWTH status in terms of social and emotional skills built.

    I want to begin with this reminder: while we watched YR over a 3 year period - July 2021 to March 2024 - the show itself only covers ONE YEAR in the life of these characters. For all of them, it is a transformative year, and especially for Felice. Her growth, through the lens of a non-white female protagonist, is as significant in terms of representation as the queer rep of Wille, Simon, Nils, Stella, etc.
