“Don’t worry, Shiv,” she said, “I’ll take care of you.” Stalking around the chair to come face-to-face with her partner, Frye tilted their head up with her fingers and fixed them with her gaze: rigid, hungry, dominating, as if she was going to chew Shiver up and relish spitting out the bones. “Real good care of you. Maybe this time you’ll learn how to behave.”
Shiver shook as she brought out the chains.
