'Buck had been training at the fire academy when he saw him. He had been doing training on the ropes when he looked over and saw a man with dark brown hair and broad shoulders. Buck had almost fucked up the training with the way he paused and forgot what he was doing, focusing on the KINARD written on the back of the man's shirt. However, he did make it safely down while trying to work out a way to go meet this KINARD and maybe get to know him (and possibly his number as well, you can't fault him for wanting a hot guys number).'

'Buck got home in the late evening, tired after a long shift of back-to-back calls with seemingly no break. He was dead on his feet, ready to maybe eat and then get straight into bed. His mind was spinning, thinking about anything and everything that he could stress about, no matter how small. Did he say something wrong to a patient? Maybe the facial expression from another firefighter meant he had done wrong? So many trivial things that he couldn't quiet.'

'Cassie stared at the sign in front of her, carefully studying each word on there, making sure that she understood it correctly. She did. She stared at it some more. The words and letters did not change or reorganised themselves to say what she wanted it to say. She had gone the wrong way and was most definitely in the wrong place. Well, shit. There goes that job. All that time, effort, stress, and anxiety had gone to waste. Why did she even try sometimes? Maybe it was better to be unemployed, rather than go through this bullshit. Fuck.
