Osvalda turned her neck to glare at Edelyn once again. “What are you even getting from this? Huh? Is this just to torment me? Wait, aren’t you a cop?” The shorter woman sat up sharply, scanning her surroundings for potential weapons. Edelyn couldn’t help but chuckle.
“Oh, no, no, I’m not a cop, ma’am; I work in forensics! The police officers in the GCPD are incredibly incompetent." With a dismissive gesture, she waved her hand. “I want to help you for many reasons, Ms. Penguin.”
Edelyn sat at the end of the bed, holding Osvalda’s hands in her own, making sure she was listening. “One is that I want to become friends with you, and another is that you can help me!”
“What?”
