Summary
Beside his mother, Louis was still frozen in place. He was vaguely aware that Doris was getting crumbs on his clothing, but he was far too concerned with overthinking. Harry knew now that he was an omega. There was no way he couldn’t know. Would he be disappointed? Would he think less of Louis? What if he didn’t even remember Louis?
Louis sucked in a breath when Harry turned towards him, his green eyes locking on the omega and he regarded him carefully. He was used to being constantly under the watchful eye of the court, his every move being critiqued and judged. But the way Harry was examining him had his hair standing on end and his breath caught in his throat.
Slowly, Harry bowed before him and looked up at Louis with an unreadable expression in his eyes. He rose to his full height once more and one dimple sunk into his cheek as he quirked his lips into a smirk. “Hello, Cricket.”

Summary
Before he can allow himself to feel bad for himself, Harry is coming back into the cave. He’s changed into his wolf form and hanging from his bloody maw is the largest bear pelt that Louis has ever seen.
The first thought that enters his mind is how. How did Harry manage to kill something so big when his best trackers can barely find scraps in these woods. The second thought that flies through his mind is:
Oh fuck.
Because Harry has just laid a pelt at his feet. There’s no mistaking what is happening any longer.

“You hear about that plane crash?”
Harry stops short. “— what?”
“Louis works in that area doesn’t he?”
“What?” Harry’s hand is frozen in midair, halfway towards scratching his neck.
“Yeah, some plane just rammed into one of the Twin Towers, I guess. Ben is—“
Harry’s blood doesn’t run cold and his heart doesn’t skip a beat. The wind isn’t knocked out of him and his stomach doesn’t drop.
He’s mostly just confused.
