Summary
From an outsider perspective, Techno has a very empty life.
He’s twenty-one years old, a broke college student who takes all his classes online, a complete social recluse because he hates people, never willingly leaves his apartment, and has sunk almost five thousand hours of his life into a shitty pay-to-win mobile game nobody except him really cares about called Assault Darkness Myths.
But that doesn't mean Techno is unhappy. In fact, he's very happy with his life!
So imagine how pissed off he is when he wakes up in the game's fantasy world stuck inside the body of an eight-year-old orphan.

Summary
When Techno was placed with Phil and his family, he was promised that it would be perfect, since they're supposed to be the same type of hybrids. Techno wants it on the record that stoats are NOT ferrets. And, stoat hybrids are not ferret hybrids either, thank you very much.
This situation is a perfect example of that truth at play.

Summary
When he's called to the battlefield, he is no longer Phil. He takes up the mantle given to him, by his Goddess and by the people. The Angel of Death. It speaks to his skills, supposedly. Phil thinks it speaks to his devotion, but no one has ever asked him. Regardless, he's quite good at the old killing thing.
There are others, though not many. He's almost excited to finally meet someone on his level in one of these bloodbaths. And a fighter eponymous to The Blood God at that! Phil can hardly be annoyed they're on opposite sides of the war. It almost feels like destiny that they're meant to meet.
The Gods always liked to meddle, after all.

Summary
Nature is cruel as it is beautiful. With the changing seasons, flowers bloom and decay. The sun rises and falls. New birds learn to fly and others... drop to the ground. It's simply how things go. The world can't stop to blink at the tragedy, to mourn the loss.
Phil though, he's never taken the cruelty without a second glance. Which is probably why he notices when the fallen bird isn't quite defeated yet.

Fledgling Techno is left behind after he fails to fly when pushed from his nest. Phil is happy to find treasure where others turned their backs.

Summary
Having a fledgling is better than anyone could have ever described. It is simply impossible to encapsulate the love, adoration, and joy that fills Phil from a single glance at his fledgling. The only thing that comes close is that he must feel alive again.
The little fledgling in his nest, and his heart, has revived him. And Phil will never let anything happen to him, or he might just die again.

Phil and Techno might be out of their lonely arcs, but they both have histories weighing them down. Maybe the fact that neither of them really know how to do the sire-fledgling thing will make it okay.
