“It is my pleasure. Happy Day of Gifts.” The florist rushes off, holding the datachip tight. He can barely hear her talk with her friend, but he does make out what sounds like ‘new windows’ and ‘internal climate gauge’. “Request: Next please.”
He smirks. “If you are taking requests, I would like to have a new hall built for debates. I have found that Planet Screwllum does not partake in enough of them.”
“Ah, hello my dear.” Screwllum gestures with his hand for the Screwllumite at the front of the line to hold for a moment. “Thank you for your request. However, as you have cut the line, that request has been immediately denied. If you would like to request again, please wait in the line.”
“Or, I can help you with your notes and then you agree to my proposal.”

Summary
“I believe… I believe I have upset Nobilis.” Screwllum says, voice quiet. It has Veritas furrowing his brow, taking a few steps forward, coming to stop next to his chair in their shared library. Resting against it, he crosses his arms.
“Everything upsets that cat. A piece of dust floating in the air upsets that cat. Aeons, him seeing his own shadow upsets him. Don’t take it personally.” He certainly doesn’t. But Screwllum cares deeply for Nobilis, carrying him around everywhere, buying him all kinds of toys and housing. He thinks it's too much, but Screwllum thinks it’s too little. “But, for curiosity’s sake…how did you manage to reach that conclusion?”

Or, Screwllum thinks he's upset Ratio-kitty, Veritas is NOT happy that Screwllum is upset, and Ratio-kitty realizes that perhaps he's made a mistake. (And also Veritas realizes too late that he's got a rival for Screwllum's attention.)
