    “Eren?” She asks, after a minute of staring, and his stomach drops because, fuck, it’s Mikasa.

    “Yeah? Do I know you?” He wants to cry as her face falls.

    Liar.

    Liar.

    Liar.

     

    Eren and Mikasa wake up someplace else, the memories of a past life dragging them down. This is their journey back to each other, in a world where there’s no walls, titans, or war separating them. Only fear.

    This is what I like to call a quadruple-shot, based off of Frank Ocean’s White Ferrari, where they get a happy ending.

    Now with an epilogue…

By the time they were five, every child in the district had become so inured to the sight of gigantic spiders that a tiny little spider was barely something worth noticing.

    Of course what Shiganshinans called "a tiny little spider" did not match the rest of humanity's definition.
