Summary

Hundreds of times in his life, Shen Jiu desperately wished there was a god somewhere out there. Because if there was, he wouldn't let Shen Jiu suffer as he did. He wouldn't let Shen Jiu, a child, be born into the streets, unloved and uncared-for, be sold into slavery. He wouldn't let Shen Jiu be taken away into the Qiu Manor. He wouldn't let a burning slave brand be seared into Shen Jiu’s flesh, like he was a livestock. He wouldn't let Shen Jiu be whipped until he could no longer feel sensations on his back even after the scars had healed. He wouldn't let sadistic bastards like Qiu Jianluo...
When SQQ screamed into the world, the world never answered. No matter how desperately, how indignantly he begged and prayed. When Shen Jiu asked for shelter from the wind on the street, when he hoped day and night for Yue Qi to come back and rescue him from the embodiment of hell that was the Qiu Manor, the god stayed silent and the world moved on.
Almost like a cruel joke, when Shen Qingqiu asked to die, to have a new chance in life, the god that appeared in the form of a blue spirit answered.
And made his life even worse.

Summary
Shen Yuan is a regular 16 year old teenager. After his two years of battle with death (cancer), he finally goes to high school as a junior! Having spent two years of his life as a semi-shut-in, Shen Yuan silently lights a candle for himself in his heart and prays to god to grant him better social skills before school starts. Surely the best way to make friends in high school is to start a common interest club, right? And then Shen Yuan would have a normal high school experience like everybody else, right?
Luo Binghe pulls a JD from Heathers the Musical goes on a school shooter darkening arc over Shen Yuan. It's Shen Yuan's first year in High School, give him a break please!
Another reason I wrote this is so Shen Jiu can have a happy ending.
