Sure, it’s not the healthiest relationship, but it’s his and there’s no way he’s letting Harrison leave him.

“I can’t do this anymore, Max,” Charles croaks, pulling his head back from the crook in his boyfriend’s neck and wiping at his eyes.
Max jolts and looks up at him with panicked eyes, desperately trying to pull him back as if having Charles close will force the words back into his mouth.
“Don’t say that, Charles. Do you not love me anymore?”
Charles tears his eyes away from the older man and releases a shaky breath, “I do but I don’t think it’s enough anymore,”
It’s the last straw. The last piece of string holding their relationship together has snapped.

Summary
After accidentally witnessing a crime, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz Jr. becomes FBIs key witnesses in what will be the trial of the century against one of the biggest crime lords in the country. To protect them from retaliation, they are placed under witness protection and moved across the country to pose as a married couple.
