I'm sorry! :( I really (mostly) like this one, and have 60,000 more words written for it, but I've sort of emotionally detached from the core of the work, so I can't see it getting finished :(
There were two 'emotional' arcs planned tho, and the first DID conclude, so this is still worth a read if you're bored, and don't care about the unresolved B plot with Kaida and the Tamers showing up later. If you just wanna sneak into Naranja, romance Hassel, and get eaten out, this is still a decent 'X reader' to try :3

“If you don’t stop telling me what I should do,” Kiryu warns, reaching for the door handle. “I will turn around and send you through that window.”
He doesn’t doubt it. He pushes his luck anyway. “Hold on. I just want to say one last thing."
Kiryu pauses at the door, huffing. He doesn’t turn around, but he turns his ear toward him, giving his silent permission.
Akiyama says, “I'm sure I'll always regret destroying…well, whatever this was, but I know I won’t ever regret giving you your chance to start over. Because you did that for me once.” His mouth snaps closed, and he swallows, but he’s unable to calm the sickness brewing in his gut.
Another heartbeat passes by.
Then, “Goodbye, Akiyama.”
