“But no one else knows that,” Lila continued, as if Marinette hadn’t spoken. She tapped the jar with one fingernail, smiling at Marinette through the glass. “No one knows you wound up here, with me.” Then, with a chilling grin, “They wouldn’t miss you.”
Marinette froze.
