Remus had never felt quite like a girl, which made sense, because she’d been a werewolf since age five. It hadn’t occurred to Remus that maybe this had more to do with him, in fact, not being a girl at all.

Charles was here. With a lantern in one hand and his notebook in the other. What was he doing here? Before he realized what he was doing he sprung up and tried to run to his friend. Only to get snatched again by the horrible spider-like creature. The scream that came out of him was piercing.
Or: The boys are getting out of hell and realize their feelings in the aftermath.

“Of course,” Dan Heng failed to see where he was going with this.
“I’ve been trying because I would hate to give people the wrong impression of you guys due to me saying the wrong thing. On that topic, today was pretty serious so I didn’t think it would be appropriate to talk about how incredibly, distractingly attractive you looked in your Vidyadhara form.”
Dan Heng processed those words. Then reprocessed them.
Dan Heng’s face began to match Caelus’ in redness. He jumped back slightly, eyes widening at the confession - new, less troublesome thoughts racing through his mind.
