Eddie crosses his arms tighter, forcing his muscles to bulge even more “And I’d love to show you”
Buck drops the cereal onto the cart, hissing at the loudness as the bag hits the milk carton, causing a loud sound to echo
“Sorry” He apologizes, glaring at Eddie and Brian “Slippery hands”
Eddie finally seems to remember his shopping buddy. He gestures between them.
“Oh yeah. I almost forgot— Uhm Brian This is Buck. My best friend. Buck, this is Brian”
“Right” Brian says with a smile, almost too smooth, a knowing look in his eyes “Nice to meet you Buck. I’ve heard…well plenty”

“I’m guessing this Buck of yours is the man standing over by your captain. He may or may not be trying to kill me with his eyes.”
Eddie doesn’t even bother turning around to check. It’s definitely Buck. He must’ve finished checking over the kitchen with Williams. Eddie can feel his stare even whilst facing the opposite direction. He tucks the last bit of bandage securely around Alistair’s wrist.
“Yeah that’s him,” Eddie says fondly. “He gets like that sometimes, don't mind him.”
Or, Buck is trying very hard not to think about his newly-out best friend, and he certainly isn't jealous of the attention Eddie’s been getting on calls.
