Summary

"All sorts of things," Gyokuyou starts. "Our cat has had some interesting patients as of late. Princes, in particular."
Jinshi clenches his fists and presses them to his forehead. "An unfortunate happenstance, I've heard. I don't believe she realized who she was aiding."
"You're right, I don't think she did! She seems unwitting by the hearts she's laid to waste in recent days. Nor the workload she's no doubt rained down on your office. How similar you two are," she teases. "The Emperor informed me of the trade dispute. It is regrettable that this should be what forces us together, but there is no better time than the present. There are words to be had—words that should have been said sooner."
When he does not answer, she adds, "There was a night that you made a shocking and forward declaration. That was nearly two years ago now."
Jinshi understands the underlying question: why have you not married Maomao yet?

Summary

Intermittent 🌶️🌶️🌶️ chapters MOSTLY Mature rating, E kicks in at Ch 62, but this one is WAY more plot and character driven than straight spice. AND I mark it off so you can skip those parts if you like.
