Summary
When his dad goes missing, Dean follows a trail that leads to a small town seemingly plagued by monsters in the nearby woodland. Motivated by the growing count of missing persons and tales surrounding a terrifying beast, Dean embarks on a hunt to investigate the mysterious forest.
The last thing he is expecting to find is an enchanted castle with talking furniture and cutlery. It's straight out of one of those Disney movies Sammy used to make Dean watch when they were kids.
But Dean’s life has never been a fairytale, not since that dreadful night when he was four. Now trapped within the fortress’s walls and with no way to contact the outside world, Dean turns his attention to finding a way to break the curse and free himself and the castle's inhabitants.
Dean is certain this Beast, Castiel, is the source of the mess they’re all in. But he can’t shake the feeling there’s something more in those too-blue eyes and ferocious demeanor. Instead, Dean finds himself pulled to him, wondering if he could ever learn to love a beast.

Summary
Atemporalia: A rare congenital condition in which a person possesses a birthmark that, in adulthood, develops into an image called a soulmark. This mark, found in the palm of the hand, is meant to “bond” an individual with a compatible mate (a “soulmate”) through a series of biochemical reactions. Persons with Atemporalia activate this process by pressing their soulmarks together. The name Atemporalia is given to this condition due to the arresting of age that occurs once the adult soulmark erupts. Persons with Atemporalia, once bonded, resume aging and can expect an average lifespan with no further impact of the condition on their lives. Prognosis for persons who do not bond is unknown.
When the case of a killer who wouldn’t die required a consultant, Dean and Sam were directed to Castiel, who possessed a particular condition that made him perfect for the role—and for Dean.
Castiel ran a humble curiosities shop in Sedona, his hunting days long behind him (though never far from his mind). When the Winchesters showed up, Castiel instantly recognized the green-eyed man before him: he was his soulmate, the one he’d waited decades for.
So he said the only thing he could say:
“Get out.”

Summary
Dean Winchester has left hunting behind, doing his best to live the "normal" life he promised Sam, but the ache of missing Castiel never really fades. When Sam invites him to his birthday party, Dean agrees, not expecting much beyond family time and maybe a few beers. But he’s blindsided when Castiel shows up—alive and well, yet not alone. Cas is with someone new, a partner who sets off Dean’s hunter instincts with every glance and smile. As he watches from the sidelines, Dean wrestles with jealousy, regret, and suspicion, wondering if Cas’s new relationship is as perfect as it seems. But as the night unfolds, he starts to notice cracks in the facade, leaving him with one question: is there still a chance for him and Cas, or has he already lost the angel forever?
