Summary
Sacrifices were made, as were betrayals; a flash of green and mere moments later 13 muggles were dead. A woman lay dead next to her wife; a last attempt to protect rendered futile as a rat makes his escape. A man amongst many others lay still, cursed to sleep until a cure is found. Their efforts too were rendered useless.
A dog and a wolf were left howling for answers, only to be silenced; their leashes ever tightening. And elfs master, cursed, trying to give the world a chance to survive; his efforts too were null, as the thing he tried so hard to destroy, destroyed him first.
A boy, a few months shy of 2, defied death and has been taken from his world, made to forget, and forced to suffer at the hands of whom his captor thought to be safe. A mother comes to regret everything, now that she has nothing.
June, 1991
A boy wanders and returns to chaos, sweet, chaos before he is thrust into the world he should never have left. He is reintroduced and learns how to love, laugh, and live; but not without struggle, loss and heartbreak.
All of this, thanks to a man who did not want to listen to reason, nor look for it in those he had close.

Summary
Just before his eleventh birthday, Harry is found in a dark London alleyway. He is subsequently taken to stay in the home of one Severus Snape until he begins Hogwarts. Harry isn't quite sure what possessed him to agree to this arrangement, and Severus has no intention of allowing Potter's unfortunate progeny to get under his skin, but this is a Severitus fic, we all know how it ends.

Summary
Harry is having an excellent fourteenth birthday at the Burrow, at least until Dumbledore arrives with Snape in tow. Dumbledore informs him that he must be tutored by the Potions Master in both Defence and Potions for the rest of the summer, to Harry's great dismay, and so he is dragged along to Spinner's end.
Snape didn't anticipate spending his summer housing and tutoring the son of his late enemy, and he definitely didn't expect that the boy was really nothing like how he had always assumed, but as the days progress, both wizards will learn more about the other, either from a round of questioning...or from behind the other's back.

The last thing Peter sees is Tony's horrified, heartbroken expression leaning over him. The guilt in his eyes is almost worse than the burning pain that's taking Peter apart piece by piece. The world starts to go dark.
There's a flash of gold and green. For one moment, he finds himself standing amongst the Guardians and others. And then darkness again. It feels like blinking; an extended period of nothingness that ends as abruptly as it begins. One moment there’s nothing, the next there’s light.
“Easy,” a woman says. Her words are gentle, and carry a slight accent that he can’t place. "I'm called Wonder Woman. What's your name?"
