Summary
Jace Marlowe is a covert asset who doesn’t ask questions—not about the missions, not about the voices in his ear, and not about the blank spaces in his memory. He was trained to obey, not to feel. Enter, Nikolai Varga, a sharp-tongued mercenary with too much curiosity far too much patience, and a habit of vanishing, and Jace finds himself unraveling. Varga sees what others don’t: that beneath the efficiency and silence, Jace is still bleeding. Still human.
As the two men cross paths again and again, what begins as tension turns into something neither of them expected- trust, tenderness, and something dangerously close to love. But as Varga digs deeper into the network that controls Jace, the more impossible it becomes to walk away. Loyalties blur, choices narrow, and the leash around Jace’s mind pulls tighter with every step. In a world built to break them, they’ll have to decide whether surviving means running- or tearing the system down from the inside.

Summary
Leon wakes up in a cell made up of reinforced glass with no memory as to how he got there. Across from him, in the opposing cell, is a familiar face but he can’t quite tell who it is at first, because he’s never met them in person. And Wesker wishes that he wasn’t forced to work with someone who acts like a shitty action movie star. But if both of them want to survive, then they have no choice other than joining forces (temporarily) to escape the facility.

“That wound would beg to differ,” she points out. It comes off a bit too worried for her liking, so she hastily adds, “Don’t tell me you’re losing your touch.”
He smiles, though there’s no mirth in it. His gaze momentarily flicks toward a drawer near the mirror, next to the one where she found his stashed mementos. “Maybe I’m just getting old.”
