Summary
A story from the viewpoint of a young native to Pandora, Ralu, and the Hebrew space militiaman, Sgt. Lt. Haviv, who destroyed his village's Hometree for harboring weapons during a war campaign.
Haviv, aka 'Pyro', is also accused of cruelly abusing him. During the international trial for Ecocide, the tender Naavi comes forward to tell the galaxy what the humans did to him and his friend Bilu’na.
The 'warriors' deny any wrongdoing. As they face increasing social scrutiny and internal turmoil, authorities and lobbies of all colors become involved. An amnesty approaches, anticipating freedom for some but threatening injustice for others. The Republic promises Liberty and Justice for all, but what kind of life journey can they expect after the war?
