Summary
as a war between two cities persists and the one you live in falls behind, the city falls back on old fairytales of an enchanted forest that supposedly holds crystals containing more power than one could even imagine. The city, hoping the story’s are real, send you and two other travelers on a mission to retrieve the crystals from the forest in a last ditch effort to save the city from collapse.

A thousand years ago, when the great dragons circled Terra, when magic was woven into the soil. When there were adventurers facing trials of courage and power. When swords did not sit in basements collecting dust. When aarakocra built homes high in the mountains and elves dwelled in torch-lit villages. A thousand years ago, before everything changed and the magic in our world dimmed, smothered by cities and factories alike.
But that was a thousand years ago. The great snakelike dragons only exist in drawings on perceived bits of parchment, the tales of adventures long ago merely stories passed down generation to generation. Our Terra, I fear we have polluted it beyond repair. Smoky hazes from factories hang low over towering cities. The magical hum of our world that old tales say is like Terras heartbeat, missing from our land.

“I don’t think that it has to mean that you’re into guys,” Lucas says. His words are accompanied by a casual shrug, and said in the tone of someone who has clearly already given this subject some thought. Will doesn’t know what to do with that information. Jump from a building, maybe. “I mean, we’d all get flustered if Spider-Man carried us in his arms.”
Mike points to him enthusiastically. “Thank you, Lucas.”
Dustin looks between the two of them, his eyes narrowed.
“...Would we?”
“Sure,” Mike concludes. “He’s attractive. That’s not a weird thing to think.”
Will just barely resists the urge to bang his head against the table. He feels Dustin’s eyes glued to his burning face, and sinks even further down his chair.
In which Mike tells Spider-Man that he has a crush on his best friend, and Will jumps to some very wrong conclusions.

Summary
Robin was considering buying a “No one knows I’m a lesbian” shirt. No matter how many men she told she wasn’t interested, there would inevitably be more at the bars she frequented, asking to buy her a drink, winking conspiratorially, sliding a hand over her arm.
Actually, one slight addendum. No one would dare approach her like that when she was out with Steve.
So, Robin proposed her plan to Steve. He would be her beard around her campus, and she would turn a blind eye to the predictably endless stream of babes cycling through the apartment for Steve. Steve had raised an eyebrow at the plan, but agreed nonetheless. Success.

During a conversation with Vickie, Robin decides to start using Steve as her beard and sure, lying to her parents is great, and she doesn't mind Hawkins thinking she's getting it on with Steve Harrington, but then lovable, idiotic Steve decides it's a great idea to carry on the lie to Eddie to make him jealous. Robin has had enough of her platonic soulmate being this fucking stupid, but sure, whatever, it'll work out in the end, it always does with Steve.
“Should I — like, go?” Eddie stares at them, still lifting up the duvet so cold air is getting on Robin’s thighs, she curls her toes under the shins of the massive fucking idiot next to her. “If you guys wanna —?”
Eddie, Robin thinks, is probably the only person they should tell about the whole fake part of their relationship. Eddie, Robin thinks, is probably the only other person in the world who would’ve even volunteered to be her beard. Eddie, who they share a bed with when they’re drunk like this, is the last person they need to start lying to but for some reason Steve has decided they need to defend themselves against Eddie and Robin can only stare at Steve and think "why him, why is he your soulmate?"
