    Edward Elric is a man of science.

    Everything he knows and believes in has been theorized and proven to be right. From the belief that his brother is a genius (obviously) to what he should have for breakfast (black coffee and some kind of sweet, thank you for asking). Alchemy was based on theories - on questions and answers. A game of pushing and pulling.

    [...] He had realized - with months pilling up living with Roy that he didn’t smile when he was home. (And, fuck, the feeling of home associated with Roy Mustang was domestic and sappy as fuck.)

    Roy and his team are delegates in Xerxes, a place steeped in myth and rumour. The most prevalent of those rumours being that the King's twin sons are strictly off limits. Even to be caught alone with one of them is enough to guarantee probably having to marry them to preserve their purity and honour. So, naturally, Roy's never wanted to tap anyone more than he wants to tap Prince Edward.

    Things don't go exactly as he planned.
