Summary
Hanta doesn’t notice Ojirou until the aftermath of the USJ.
It doesn’t matter how deeply Hanta believes flashy quirks aren’t everything: he still falls for the explosions, the green energy, Dark Shadow, and, of course, Todoroki’s absolutely insane quirk. It’s easy to forget about invisibility, anivoice, and tail.
At first, Hanta wonders how they got into the hero course. It’s easy to think that when electricity crackles in the air and a glittering laser illuminates the sky. After those, he doesn’t really think about Ojirou.
And then the attack at the USJ happens.

“Sensei,” Shinsou’s voice is shaky. Anxious. It sets him on edge more than he’d like to admit. Shouta is up off the couch and looping his capture weapon around his shoulders before the boy can even continue.
“Sensei, it’s Neito, he—” There’s a sound he can’t quite make out in the background. Panicked yelling and cursing, and if he strains his ears, he thinks he hears someone crying. Never a good sign. “He’s awake, but… fuck. I don’t know. He still thinks he’s out there. He said— I can’t get him to calm down, he won’t even—”
Shouta knows what’s happening, better than perhaps anyone else, and he doesn’t even need to have it confirmed to know what he needs to do. “Make sure he doesn’t hurt himself. I’m on my way.”
(Monoma Neito wakes up after the most traumatic experience of his life. Luckily, Aizawa is able to respond.)

“Sparky?” A gruff voice calls out his name, causing Denki to whip his head around and face Katsuki. He’s in loose, grey sweatpants and no shirt, groggily looking at Denki, “What are you doing here?” He grumbles out.
He’s lost all that teenage malice, no barking orders at Denki or glaring holes through him. Just a genuine, sleepy curiosity.
Denki gets that same feeling he got when he visited Katsuki in the hospital. That tight feeling in his chest so uniquely tied to the other blonde that it’s weird when Denki doesn’t feel it, all fluttering heart and pushing tears to his eyes.
Or, Kaminari’s mind takes him back to when he was 16 on top of a building
