“H...hello......?” the speaker announces.
And Jon jolts.
Freezes. Every muscle goes stiff, every pinprick of exhaustion leaves his body in an instant as a cold wave of shock crashes him out of his sickly stupor. He’s pretty sure it breaks his unbudging fever too, with the way he starts sweating — well, at least more than he has been. He’s been doing a lot of that lately, but — that’s not the point.
The point is, he freezes, all because of the voice on the other side. A voice that’s groggy, gentle, masculine, and definitely not Georgie’s.It's a bug, probably, that's keeping Jon confined to his motel room in Pittsburgh. Really, he just needs someone to talk to.

For the MagnACE archives prompt: I think that as a coping mechanism, Jon REALLY likes being blindfolded. It relaxes him, makes him feel safer (both for himself and others) when he just can't see in any possible way. It makes him melt, and he's perfectly fine with Martin fucking him while he's feeling safe and relaxed.
Jon thinks of it as detoxing.
