To any nosy outsiders, Leon knew it looked bad on his part as the agent who’d been left in charge of supervising Luis’s actions, but he didn’t care. That had only been his excuse to offer his home to Luis and Francesca without anyone thinking he was too soft on people he didn’t even know. Three months into this living arrangement, he’d gotten to know them pretty well. Leon’s shoulders sagged at seeing a little girl shyly peeking out from behind Luis’s legs. She couldn’t be older than five—even younger than Sherry was when Leon first met her. Ashley gasped, the sound causing the little girl to tug at Luis’s pants. He quietly murmured something in Spanish to her, and she reluctantly stuck her head out again.
“This is my daughter,” Luis introduced her to his companions.

With the events of RE4 concluded, Luis introduces his daughter to Ashley and Leon, and the four return to America for the next chapter of their lives. Luis and Leon raise her together, traversing the struggles of fatherhood while tiptoeing around their feelings for each other.

“Welcome back,” Luis whispered, knowing Leon wouldn’t be replying any time soon. He didn’t care that he was the only one talking, because he knew Leon didn’t mind listening to him. After the first time Leon had returned this shaken from a job, Luis had been out of his depth. It was a learning process for the both of them, since Leon never had anyone waiting at home for him whenever he came back in this state. One thing he was initially sure of, however, was that he found Luis’s voice soothing.
