Summary
It was supposed to be a peaceful evening.
But the sharp, insistent pounding on his front door shattered that peace. Yuri jumped, startled by the noise.
“What the—?” Yuri muttered under his breath, his heart pounding. He crossed the room and flung the door open, only to be greeted by two stern-faced police officers standing in the hallway.
“Yuri Plisetsky?” one of the officers demanded.
Yuri blinked, confused. “Yeah, that’s me. What’s going on?”
Before Yuri could say another word, the officer grabbed his arm, roughly pulling him forward. “You’re under arrest for armed robbery.”

It was a calm spring evening, the sun slowly setting behind the distant hills, casting a warm orange glow over the city.
Out of the corner of his eye, Victor saw a car speeding toward them—too fast, too close. There was no time to react. The other car ran the red light, crashing into the passenger side of their vehicle with a deafening screech of metal on metal.
Victor was slumped forward.
“Yuuri…” Victor gasped, his voice weak with pain as he turned toward him.
