Summary
From experience Soap knows that the less sleep he gets, the more he talks. And he knows that this can be a little overwhelming for the people around him. It hasn’t been much of an issue since he was selected to the 141, but on his previous teams he had been told to shut up or bug off more than a few times. So, usually, when he gets to a point like this, and someone tells him to shut up or go away, he doesn’t take it personally. Because he knows everyone is as stressed as he is, and everyone works through that differently. Soap knows he gets even more talkative than usual, that he needs company to be around to not get lost in his head. But he also knows that others need quiet.
aka: Soap gets told he talks too much. He gets told that he always returns from missions with some kind of injury. So they give him the easier part of accompanying the hostages to the extraction heli, to keep him from getting hurt again. Of course, that doesn't work out as planned and Soap doesn't tell anyone.

A mission goes to shit and Soap and Ghost have to find their way to exfil. Only Soap has hit his head pretty bad in an explosion and slowly forgets where he is and why.
Ghost protects him and trys to get him to exfil until he gets shot.
Now it's up to Soap to get them to their RV point, before he forgets what he has to do. -

“Shut up and do your job!”It's Clay's first deployment with Bravo and he hasn't meshed with his new team as much as he would have liked. So when he speaks his mind regarding a mission, he gets shut down repeatedly. But when he does as ordered, it doesn't go well for him either.

Clay wipes his mind clean, clearing it of Vic’s fuckup, of the unknown fate of Trent, Brock and Cerberus, of the guilt of failing to protect them, of the cold knot in his stomach that is sitting there since he got the phone call right before this mission, and of the image of the exploding body of the young boy that came too close to his brothers.
He blocks out everything around him, focusing his mind solely on his objective – finding the terrorist leader and turning him into pink mist.Set in season 3, this story is a Clay-centric whump story.

Summary
John MacTavish hasn't seen Simon Riley since the day Simon rushed him to a London trauma center... and then walked away. The absence made John's road to recovery all the more agonizing, but luckily, the rest of the 141 along with other friends and family filled the hole left by a ghost.
Now, three and a half years later, John finally has his life together. He works for the MOD (and the CIA... ahem) as a civilian demolitions consultant. He's got a house, a (mostly) clear head, and most importantly, a date with someone new to his best mate's wedding.
John's ecstatic to be standing up as Kyle's best man. Unfortunately, it also means standing in the same room as a certain Lieutenant. It's okay, though. For Kyle's sake, John can keep all the anger and hurt festering inside of him in check. All he has to do is avoid Simon for the next few hours, and they'll go their separate ways.
Too bad Simon has other plans that, unbeknownst to either of them, will change their lives forever.
For better or for worse.

“Simon?”
Simon slides a book into place before turning around. The man in front of him is lean, worn thin, with bags like dusky thumbprints beneath his eyes. He’s swallowed by the massive black hoodie he’s wearing, his hands wedged deep into his pockets and his shoulders hunched.
For reasons he cannot begin to understand, Simon wants to crush this man into a tiny ball and then shove him into the mouth that gapes, screaming, around his own starved heart.
He doesn’t do that, obviously. He’s on the clock.
Or: Ghost loses his memories and falls in love with his husband, again.

Summary
This is a bit AU but maintains elements of Vic's character and Clay's attitude towards him. Deviates from the show's sequence of events, and paints Vic without any redeeming qualities.
A multi-chapter emotional and physical whump-fest coming up. I tried to write a one chapter story, but my evil muse latched on to a concept, and it's snowballing into several chapters.
