"Wilkes? What are you doing here?" he asked, and Colin, regaining a modicum of composure, blinked before arching an eyebrow.
"You're my best friend and I just came by to see how you were doing, maybe?" he rephrased with a hint of sarcasm, blithely ignoring Damian's muttering to cast a glance around the room and also towards the bathroom. "I was expecting to find Jon too."
Damian mumbled something in response and snuggled under the duvet, frowning without taking his eyes off the screen of his switch. "That alien head has better things to do."
"Mhn? Did you two have a fight?"
"Idiots fight," Damian condemned as he adjusted the Bluetooth headset in his left ear. "We argued at length about how unprofessional it was to boycott a mission because of a cold, and he put me on his shoulder and carried me here against my will."
"So nothing strange as usual," Colin replied in a sarcastic tone, finding himself laughing at the dirty look thrown his way. "Don't look at me like that, we all know you're a pain in the ass when you're sick."Bookmarked by Mrs_softhoughts
