   Summary

   Fire wasn’t so good for me anymore. It gave me these fits where the world got real loud and I got real small and my lungs forgot how to work. It was only sometimes though, and I could snap myself out of it quick enough.

   Summary

   Ponyboy returns to his everyday life after Windrixville, and by all means he should consider himself lucky. He and Johnny survived the fire, they got no legal consequences for Bob’s murder, and he had reunited with his brothers. After all of this, he still doesn’t feel like a person anymore. So when Curly offers him a risky job that reminds him how thrilling life can be, how could he refuse?
