So I had a thought. Everyone sees in black and white until they meet their soulmate. At first, color only shows around your perfect match, and gradually as you get to know them, color spreads to your whole world. Some people meet their soulmate at a very young age and have never known a world without color. Other people never meet their soulmate at all, and know only black and white.
I projected this on my boys because I needed it.
