i am such a sucker for outsider POV, and this is a prime example of everything I love about the sub-genre -> where both the 'pov' and 'outsider' element are done to perfection. I would happily read an entire novel about these OFCs.

"GERONIMO!" Clint screams, launching himself across the gap, and barely clips the other beam with his toe before plummeting.
"I got you, I got you!" Bucky leaps up to catch him and they both hit the ground, laughing hysterically. They end up with Clint sprawled half on top, and he's about to collapse his head on Bucky's chest when he remembers.
Clint tries not to nudge anyone about their consent settings, because he's worried about pressuring people, but the confusion and tinge of hurt he sees when he scrambles away makes him remind Bucky, "You have your casual touch setting off for everyone except Steve."

Arthur wakes in a hospital with no memory of who he is or how he got there. All he knows is that someone messed him up pretty badly, and his dreams are violent and terrible. After weeks of wondering why no one has bothered to look for him, he just about gives up. Eames is the one who finds him. They have to discover what a mysterious group of people did to Arthur and his former team to make dreaming so dangerous for them. And they need to find the "Glitch Machine" that is the cause of mass dreaming hysteria, and undo its effects on Arthur and the dreaming community.

One simple idea that changes everything: Ariadne, audience avatar, is a plant. Dr. Stephen Miles places her - a twenty-six-year-old architecture student and polymath - on Cobb's radar as insurance, security, backup, and (of course) builder.
She thinks she's ready for dreamshare, based on what she's read.
Yeah, not even close.
(Canon-compliant, insofar as interpolating an entire new plotline and spinning the perspective can be considered "compliance".)
