Admiral Fortune joined them at that moment. She held out a small package wrapped with red and gold paper, neatly tied up with a green ribbon. Xayah took the package into her hands, reading the attached tag and finding her name written on it, framed with little hearts.
“A secret admirer, I gather?” The Admiral said, the corner of her mouth tilted upwards.
Xayah’s cheeks quickly began to heat, no doubt turning the same shade of red as the package. “It’s probably nothing,” she muttered.
“I bet it’s from your bo—“ Seraphine started to say, but Xayah slapped her hand across her mouth to stop her.
“Don’t,” Xayah hissed.

Kayn’s brain had to be short-circuiting right now, because there was no way she had just asked him to undress her. Surely he had to have misheard her, right? Right?
“A-are you sure?” he asked carefully.
Seraphine looked away for a moment, and Kayn found himself holding his breath once more. That only seemed to amplify the beating of his heart against his sternum. She flicked her eyes back to him and nodded.
“Yes. I trust you.”
***First Serakayn fanfic! These two have been living rent-free in my head since Heartsteel's debut almost a year ago. It's also Kayn and Seraphine's birthday month when I'm posting this (10/02/2024) so the timing to finally publish this is very fitting.

I originally had this titled as “claudleth azure moon AU that needs a feckin title” until I actually came up with a respectable title. An “Imagine if” scenario where Byleth and her Blue Lions arrived at Derdriu just a tad too late. Don’t worry, our favorite Golden Buck lives! (And doesn’t immediately run off to Almyra after being saved lol) This fic is Claudleth-centered, with other pairs mentioned.
Here’s hoping I finish this project!

Kayn's life isn't all that exciting. He has a bland apartment in a big city, a tattoo artist apprenticeship, a motorcycle, a grudge against the local performing arts college, and an electric guitar that might be possessed.
At the end of August, he adds something to that list: a new neighbor. A new neighbor who has the most bright, cozy apartment on the floor, a moped, a guitar that's thankfully not possessed, a chipmunk as a pet, and the most beautiful voice he's ever heard. And bright pink hair.
Kayn's life gets interesting again really quickly after that.

The Primordian shrinks in size, but it doesn’t happen right away. Over the period of a week he transforms, and every time Seraphine looks at him he’s just a little bit smaller, the difference miniscule enough for her to wonder if it’s only her imagination, but by Sunday he’s not fifty feet, more like fifteen, and the problem of what to do with him becomes a lot more manageable.
