Phainon trails kisses across the swell of Mydei’s bump, slow and deliberate, as though trying to worship every inch. He then presses his forehead and nose flat against the omega’s belly, and silently stays like that for some moments before speaking, “I swear that if I focus hard enough, I can smell her scent.”
Mydei lets out a soft, skeptical laugh. “Oh? And what does she smell like?”
“Hmm, like you…and me,” he says thoughtfully. His gaze lifts, meeting Mydei’s, only to find him studying him with raised brows. The alpha laughs sheepishly and admits, “Okay, I can’t smell her very well.”
“Yeah, clearly.”

Phainon laughed, resting his head against Mydei’s, setting the bouquet of sunflowers aside. “Yeah. They are.” He whispered, pressing a small kiss to the top of Mydei’s head.
