Summary
The Black Tide consumes Aedes Elysiae, leaving Phainon on the run with one objective and countless sacrifices on his back. He makes his way to the Capitol to deliver the vital item he was entrusted with, only to get entangled in a political web of power struggles and betrayal with the death of the King.
One fateful encounter with a Chrysos Heir sets Phainon on a path of fraud and unlikely friendships, where he must now pretend to be next in line to the throne.
He turns but doesn’t catch her move. The blonde woman’s violence is a waltz. She flits across the field on the tips of her feet before she pierces her rapier straight into the bandit’s heart, holding him high against her scabbard as he spills red, missing her cloak, pure and white.
“I assume that if you draw steel, you are also prepared to die by it,” she says, watching coldly as she drops the bandit to the ground.

Until everything suddenly went downhill as the story took a big change. The chapters became dull and repetitive, all previous character development was thrown away in favor of the new genre that wasn't even listed in the novel's online page.
But now Mydei was transmigrated into such a trashy novel, and as a side villain that was destined to die by the hands of the protagonist.
