Summary
Tim feels his heart start to race, feels the indignation grow in his chest, can’t stand that some pubescent, spoiled know-it-all has the gall to treat him like an idiot. He can’t stand that the men he spent most of his life looking up to, that he trusted to look out for him, are just letting it happen. He can’t stand that he can’t fight back. Tim spent a lot of his life getting pushed around by kids twice his size and he couldn’t fight back. Now he goes to work every day running the company that Damian will probably inherit anyway, getting talked down to by people he can’t afford to piss off. And now this anklebiter who doesn’t know jackshit thinks he has the right to lecture him and Tim wants to scream.
Tim is almost as surprised as everyone else when his bo staff whistles through the air and strikes Damian right across the face. Hard.

“You’ve also tried to kill me, to be fair.”
“To be fair, it would not be wise for you to push me, either.”

After an injury benches Tim for a few months, he and Damian are forced to cohabitate until Tim recovers. Along the way Damian learns that there’s a lot he doesn’t understand about Tim Drake, starting with his total lack of self-preservation.
