Summary
"So you're the troublemaker Hop keeps ranting on about." Steve finally says, announcing his presence to the room.
Hopper snorts a laugh when he sees him, and immediately walks over to graciously relieve him of the container of food.
But Steve's eyes are on Munson, who was trying oh so hard to be subtle as he looks him up and down. For a moment he'd wished he'd worn something more flattering than old jeans and Robin's green hoodie.

Summary
Steve drives to Forest Hills once his shift is over. The whole way there he tries to convince himself that he’s just being paranoid, that Eddie is fine.
It lasts until he knocks on the door and gets no reply. Then he starts worrying again.
It’s his worry that makes Steve push the door open. He’ll apologize for barging in later, once he makes sure Eddie is okay.
“Eddie?” Steve calls as he steps in. There are no lights on which he finds odd. “It’s Steve. Just wanted to check in, and see how you’re doing?”
There’s a low groan from Eddie’s bedroom.
It makes Steve’s heart pick up but he’s not sure why. Something inside Steve screams at him to turn around and run as far away as possible. He’s felt it before– every time they’ve faced the Upside Down.
But this isn’t that. This is Eddie. And what reason could Steve possibly have to be afraid of him?
or when Steve finds out Eddie isn’t exactly human after barely surviving the Upside Down he volunteers to keep Eddie from dying
