Summary
Usually an Isaac McAdoo haircut was a symbolic endeavour. It wasn’t really about the hair cut. Yes he was a wizard with a razor but these boys could go and pay whatever to have their hair done by a professional. The Isaac haircut was all about sitting up on the pedestal and being the centre of attention while it is happening. It’s the spectacle not the actual cut. Well that’s what it usually was anyway. But with Jamie Tartt, one of his dearest friends, sat shivering on a dining room chair despite being wrapped in the most cosy blanket that Isaac could find, it was not the same at all.
