Chapter 8: The Encounter
A Mandalorian and his mercenary crew encounter the Mandalorian Resistance, only to discover that both groups are on a mission to capture the same target.
"I need information more than I need Lorik Voss," she said as she searched through a notebook and attempted, but failed, to ignore his looming presence behind her, as imposing as a god that only existed in myth.
"I need Lorik Voss more than I need information. Can I help so we can move this along?” he asked as he picked up a letter. “What are you looking for?”
"Did they teach you how to read in your cult?" she exclaimed in feigned astonishment, tearing the paper in two as she attempted to snatch it out of his hand. He closed the distance between them, leaning in toward her face.
“Did they teach you about what happens to bad girls on Mandalore, or do I need to show you?”

Din considered her for a moment, looking childlike and so unlike the Bo-Katan he had come to know. The one who had lost everything and had spent decades trying to get it back. Her eyes were wide with joy, her face was open and light. She was so beautiful she would surely drive him mad.
He lifted his helmet just enough to throw the shot back and hear Bo-Katan squeal.
She took her own and he watched her lick a stray drop of liquor from her lips. He was sorry when the brief pink of her tongue vanished with it.
He motioned for the bartender to bring them another round.
