God-tier fic. Memorable worldbuilding, Incredibly funny, and lowkey has the best Katarina character arc out of any Hamefura fic I've read. Seriously, the direction that the author takes her character after the Adeth Vacation Arc is probably my favorite handling of Katarina's character of all time. Plus, Katarina gets to show off multiple of her other strengths on several occasions, which is something I always love to see more of—it’s admittedly played for laughs most of the time, but never at Katarina’s expense. And she isn't even the main character! This Maria is an absolute delight and perfect comedic straight man/cultural outsider POV. The convulted crossover setting is surprisingly understandable for me, a reader with no prior knowledge of any of these video games, and the resulting worldbuilding is absolutely delightful. Also very impressive at how interesting and well-handled the post-canon plot is, especially considering that at most, only a fifth of this fic takes place within the canon Hamefura timeframe. And don't worry about the explicit rating, that's only for a handful of chapters past the 200-chapter-mark and they're clearly marked.
There's admittedly a lot of aspects of this fic that might turn readers off (copious references including practically every OC, lack of character growth in Kat's harem, author's belief that Kat explicitly treats everything like a video game, sheer wordcount, brief mention that Anne used to be romantically interested in Katarina which is ultimately plot-irrelevant, and humor is subjective) but if you don't mind or can look past those it's a truly delightful read like no other

Great fic, the angst is soooo good, and Weiss' character growth is amazing to read. Does a great job at handling delicate topics like Faunus racism and the abuse in the Schnee family, and it’s one of the few Rwby fics I’ve read that eschews the canon plot in favor of something that fits this story and characters better. The characterization of Weiss, Blake, and Yang is top-tier, easily some of the best I’ve read from this fandom. major major kudos for being an OT3 fic that puts genuine effort into building the relationships over time and making them feel genuine and believable and in-character, instead of just shoving them all together ASAP. All of the Schnee’s Bees have some major personal issues that clash as they figure out their relationship(s) - the drama flares up when it makes sense to do so, and characters talk through their issues before they overstay their welcome. All without sidelining Ruby and her place on the team!
