Summary
Anakin doesn't have a nightmare of Padme dying in childbirth, allowing him to focus on trying to uncover Sidious' identity. But then, he has a blackout in Palpatine's office. He can't remember what he was told. As events continue to unfold, Anakin realizes that it's a race against time to find Sidious before he claims Anakin as his. Forever.

Dooku's death is only a setback, one that Obi-Wan will deal with. But to establish his Empire, he needs Anakin on his side. Doing so will require the use of an ancient Sith ritual to divide his mind. On a regular mission throughout the outer reaches of the Alpha quadrant, the crew of the Enterprise come across the most astonishing being they've ever encountered - but he's really not in the mood to bedazzle them, nor has he been for countless generations. In fact, he's not particularly in the mood to exist at all.(Alternate Universe wherein everything is functionally identical, but Q never encountered Starfleet in any form. Slow burn Qcard.)
