Then I decided to see if I could write this without it taking 100K+ words. I also enjoy Japanese yokai and Shinto religion which make an appearance, in varying ways and significance, within this one-shot instead of the canon alien god thing that explains the bijuu, etc.. -

Cody has had enough of idiotic nat-born officers who are nothing more than a bunch of whiny morons. And that includes his Jedi General, Qui-Gon Jinn.
Jinn, who has a bad habit of stating he "follows the will of the Force" instead of following the will of the Senate and Council. And honestly, Cody wouldn't mind if following the will of the Force included filling out a requisition form every once in awhile.
But, Cody can handle it. He can adapt to it. He can deal with Qui-Gon Jinn disappearing without a word. He can deal with Tarkin being an asshole. He can deal with it all. And he has been dealing with it all for the past month.
That is, until another wrench is thrown into his carefully constructed battle plans. A wrench that goes by the name Obi-Wan Kenobi. Jinn's padawan is everything Cody hates and more. He doesn't listen. He goes off on his own. And he seems to expect special treatment just because he's a Jedi who killed a sith.
Well, Cody's not going to let him win. He is not going to let Obi-Wan Kenobi use him like all the other nat-born officers use him. And no! He does not think Kenobi is nice to look at. Not one bit. So quit asking.

Summary
Cody is more than a little stressed being the Mand'alor and all. His brothers hatch the brilliant plan to take him out for drinks, get him talking to some hot people, and maybe (just maybe) get laid. Their plans go awry when Cody meets the beautiful and intelligent Ben.
It's love at first sight! Or, at the very least, lust at first sight. And Cody is all on board to get to know Ben more.
But, when Ben drugs him and steals his vambraces, Cody is left reeling and heartbroken from the encounter. Was Ben just using him for some quick cash? Or is there something else going on?

Summary
Jedi Master Obi-wan Kenobi flies to meet his new Battalion, already weary of a galaxy-wide war that has only just began. With his determination flagging and old war flashbacks making a new appearance, resignation weights heavy on his soul as the Senate compels the Order to take command over millions of enslaved and ostracised men. But when he is met with hundreds of defiant and non-submissive identical brothers, lead by a Commander bright as Tatooine's twin suns, he might just find the resilience and rebellion needed to aid them dismantle the Republic's castle of lies.

Obi-wan won’t give orders to men with no choice, but that might not be necessary as his Attack Battalion already has a leader that won’t take them anyways. Coordinating the 212th as a duo, the Jedi will get to be truly *known* by his loyal Commander and heal, while Cody, young blood boiling for freedom, will get himself a one-man-army, soulmate and ally to dismantle the gone-corrupt Republic’s system of oppression.
A steady leader, capable of rallying an Army of millions, and the sharpest of Jedi Masters, will they be enough to reveal the hidden Darkness behind all the endless violence?
