After the butterfly Miraculous is retrieved from Lila, the heroes can finally retire. It soon becomes obvious that wearing the jewels for years has affected several of them physically - and some are aging slower, and some much faster, than they should. Marinette in particular finds that she simply doesn't age, and needs to learn to come to terms with what it means to live when "life" no longer has an ending.

When being submerged into complete isolation, it’s difficult to recognise the difference between a second and a hour. Hours drag on, yet glide by. Seconds fly by, but are drawn out. Minutes do not contain seconds, because in complete, and only complete and utter isolation, a second can be whatever you want it to be.

After being stuck in the robot suit for a few months, Alejandro passes away. He awakes back on the bench he was sleeping off before the ‘I See London’ challenge. He will later discover he’s stuck in a time loop!

What follows is a high stakes competition full of unexpected friendships, romance (except don't tell them that as they insist on being difficult), scheming, rather brutal betrayals, questionable ethical practices, and several questions yet to be answered.
Like who the fuck gave Chris McLean access to virtual reality (the sci-fi kind, like going inside of video games kind. C'mon this universe already works on cartoon logic I think it's fair) and thought it would end well?
